Bio
Katelyn Renee Brown is a a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, where she earned her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance. This summer, she performed as Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen at the Seagle Festival in Schroon Lake, NY. Last summer, she participated as a Studio Artist at the Music Academy of the West, where she performed various chamber vocal repertoire in recital. While pursuing her MM degree, she performed in the University of Michigan's Winter 2024 production of Kevin Puts' Elizabeth Cree, in which she played the role of Aveline. She also participated in the orchestral workshop of The House on Mango Street at the University of Michigan in collaboration with Glimmerglass Opera, where she covered the role of Esperanza. In her final semester, she covered the role of Fiordiligi in the University of Michigan's Chamber Opera production of Così fan tutte. Katelyn attended the University of North Florida for her B.M. where she performed a variety of roles such as Adele in Die Fledermaus, Despina in Così fan tutte, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, and Serpetta in La finta giardiniera.
